My name is Lauren Robson and I started Yoga Flow to improve access to Yoga for Everyone, to facilitate improved wellbeing on every level; physically, mentally and emotionally. The two types of Yoga I enjoy the most are Hatha and Vinyasa Flow.
The main aim of Hatha Yoga is to create an absolute balance of the activities of the body and mind. Hatha Yoga is slow and deeply relaxing, focusing on the breath and alignment. Classes include Asana (physical postures), Pranayama (breath awareness), Mudra (gestures) and Savasana (relaxation).
A stimulating and rejuvenating class, where students learn to flow from one pose to the next continuously. Movements are co-ordinated with the breath to focus the mind. Beginning with a sequence to warm up the body, building up to a more energising flow to improve flexibility, strength and balance. The class slows down finishing in Savasana (relaxation).

I have practiced Yoga for six years and particularly enjoy Hatha & Vinyasa styles. I initially trained in contemporary dance. When I'm not Yoga-ing I am parenting and looking after a miniature dachshund!
I initially trained in contemporary dance at Bretton Hall campus, graduating over 10 years ago. I went on to do some performance work, but I really loved teaching others. After qualifying as a teacher I taught dance in schools before setting up my own dance company teaching dance to people with limited access to the arts, in partnership with other services.
I have also worked in social care, supporting adults with needs including homelessness, mental health and substance use. I am trained in Motivational Interviewing, Mental Health First Aid and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) skills.
I started practising Hatha Yoga on a regular basis in 2013. I was really busy at work, always on the go - Yoga helped me to slow down and feel rested. Hatha Yoga also enabled me to get back the flexibility I had lost after finishing my full-time dance training. Three years later I found Vinyasa Flow Yoga - I loved the energy & physical challenge of it and felt I could lose myself in the flow of the sequences.
I am lucky enough to have inspiring Yoga teachers and to have attended many insightful workshops including Kashmir Shaivism with Swami Krishnapremananda, The Chakras, Introduction to Buddhism and Developing Mindfulness Practice at York St. John's University. I have trained in London and Spain with Sally Parkes Yoga. I am also a member of Yoga Alliance Professionals.
I am passionate about improving access to Yoga for everyone, to facilitate improved wellbeing on every level; physically, mentally and emotionally.
